Birthday Celebrations Pt.208 August 2025 Fleurtations Cornwall: Celebrating 26 Years with a Massive Flower Giveaway! As you may know, we here at Fleurtations in Cornwall have been celebrating our 26th birthday in style! For a whole week, our social media followers had the chance to win a stunning £100 bouquet simply by answering a few floral questions. It was our way of saying thank you for 26 amazing years. For those who might have missed it, we're sharing a look back at the journey. Here's what we posted on social media to kick off the celebrations and announce the fantastic prize... "Celebrate With Us: Our 26th Birthday Giveaway! Guess what? It's our birthday tomorrow, 26th July, and we're turning 26! To celebrate, we're in full party mode and want to give something truly special to one of you, a magnificent bouquet worth £100! Here's how you can win: Starting tomorrow, Saturday 26th July to Saturday 2nd August, we'll be posting a new flower or plant picture every day. Your task is to correctly guess the name of all 8 flowers. Don't worry, we promise they'll be easy ones! But wait, there's an extra prize up for grabs! If you can also figure out what all the flower names spell out at the end of the week, you'll win an additional surprise. Please note, they won’t be released in order, it’s going to be an anagram! This bit is a little more difficult! How to enter: • Comment with your guess for each flower's name every day on Facebook or Instagram. • On the last day (August 2nd), let us know what all the flower names spell out. All correct entries will be put into a lucky draw, and one lucky winner will be selected. So, keep your eyes peeled and good luck! Day 3 - Hydrangea. Day 4 - Iris. Day 5 - Yukka. Day 6 Daffodil. Day 7 - Alstroemeria. Day 8 - Bluebell On the final day, we released an image of all the flowers in a grid format to help everyone guess the anagram. It was also an opportunity for people to make sure that had guessed all the flower name correctly! The Anagram was: BIRTHDAY. As you can see, the questions weren't too difficult, but it certainly was a lot of fun! In fact, the team at Fleurtations Cornwall had just as much fun creating the competition and watching it grow on social media as you all did taking part. We were absolutely staggered by the response to our birthday competition, with a huge total of over 200 entries across all our social media channels! It was wonderful to see so many of you taking part, but for a chance to win the fantastic prize, you needed to get all the daily flower names correct and solve the final anagram. A special shout-out to the clever people who managed to solve the anagram a day or two early, rest assured, you were all included in the final draw for the big bouquet! Unfortunately, a few people missed a day here or there and weren't able to be entered, so close yet so far! After the final day of the competition, we spent an entire day meticulously checking every single answer and anagram. In the end, a grand total of 113 people made it into the final draw, and the one lucky winner announced on 4th August was Kirsten Powell! We were so overwhelmed with the volume of brilliant entries that we decided to celebrate further by drawing five more winners. These lucky runners-up each received an extra bouquet as a prize, and we're so glad these fantastic florals got to grace their homes. The additional winners were: Elizabeth Moray, Emma Trudgeon, Lisa Thompson, Lynn Keast, and Laura Porter. Thank you to everyone who took part in our 26th birthday celebrations!
